Well I'm never going to finish the tale of my adventures in Texas.

Right now I'm at work doing nothing because my first class was canceled. Woo.

Wow. I need to tell of my adventures in Texas.
But first:
EWWW School starts in a week.

Now that that is out of my system, Texas.

So I drove to Texas with Ruth, Carrie and Ruth's mom. It was pretty fun. We listened to music and played games. And we went to In N Out in Arizona. I didn't know there where any in Arizona.
One of the games we played was the one where you say you brought whatever to the wedding (or other event/destination). Let's seen if I can still remember the list.
Apples, Boxes, Cookies, diapers, eye glasses, fig newtons, giant bananas(more on giant bananas to follow), hamsters, ice cream, jack rabbits, kangaroos, llamas, Mary (ruth's mommy), i don't remember n, orbital sattelites, pocky, quintuplets, don't remember r either, star wars dvds, don't remember t, umbrellas, can't remember v, water, xylophones, yummy treats, and zygotes.

I can't believe i remember all the ones I did. It's been two weeks at least.

When we got to Texas we went to Abilene first because we had to move all of Ruth and Eric's stuff into their appartment. So we stayed at the house that Eric was moving out of, and his roommate was really nice and told amazing stories. He even let Carrie and I stay at the house after we had moved Eric out.
Moving was a pain in the but because it was sooooo humid and they power wasn't on in the appartment yet so there was no air conditioning or lights. We did get help moving the couch in from one of their new neighbors. And we went swimming at the pool there. Unforuntately the pool there has an insane lock that took us forever to figure out, and you have to enter the code to get out of the pool area too, so we were trapped inside for a while. Carrie was ready to climb over the fence but I knew I couldn't do that so we waited for Eric to help us. Carrie had climbed onto a garbage can in order to get over the fence, and that was an interesting sight. How often do you see someone in a bikini climbing onto a trashcan?

Okay I have to go help my mom with something.
More to follow.

Have you ever boycotted a company or product? If so, what was it, and what caused you to boycott it?

I'm super tan. I swear I haven't been this tan in years. I guess that's what happens when you go swimming almost every day.
Speaking of swimming, today my teacher had us just swim 80 laps of whatever we wanted to. That's 6,000 feet. I swam a mile in less than an hour. I figured out  a long time ago that about 70 laps in a 25 yard pool is a mile. So I figure so far in my life I've swam 300 miles or something like that. Possibly more. That feels like an accomplishment.

If there is such a thing as  swim nerd I am definitely one of them.

How do you feel when an adapted film's story deviates from the original material?

Films always deviate from their source material. It's almost impossible for them not to. However it does bother me when they make unnecessary changes, like completely leaving out Winky and S.P.E.W. in the fourth Harry Potter movie, and leaving out Peeves in all of them.

I think the only thing that I've ever seen that completely followed the book was the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice. That was several hours long though.

I've wanted to write something for a couple of days now but I can't really think of anything to write. I did write something for line by line the other day though. http://community.livejournal.com/linebyline/702332.html#cutid1

I've been watching episodes of 21 Jumpstreet again. Carrie even watched an episode with me the other day. Sometimes that show is hilarious and other times it's super serious and depressing. That's probably why it's so interesting to me. It's never completely the same. I think that can be said for all of the shows I really like. They all have a good balance of humor and seriousness. That makes people more interesting too. People don't seem real when they're always one way or another. It's like they're constantly putting up a front, and that's annoying. I want to see changing emotion in people.

What is your favorite weird food combination? Have your friends ever tried it or do you only eat it in private?

French fries dipped in chocolate shakes. Mmmm. One of my friends introduced me to doing that. It freaks my parents out though.

I just found out that SF State is accepting spring transfers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have to spend another full year at DVC! Thank god!

Last night I stayed up late and watched Whose Line is it Anyway? for the first time in over a year. It made me happy. I was attempting to stay up to watch Star Trek Voyager for the first time in over year, but I just couldn't make it to 2 a.m. Maybe tonight, if it's on.

I have survived the first week of my swimming class. Yay! It's not really that hard actually, but I haven't swam regularly for four years, so I was worried about being out of practice, but I'm okay. After the first day my arms were super sore, but they're okay now. And the teacher is really easy. He said that the grade is 90% attendance and 10% attitude. How often do you have a class where 90% of the grade is attendance? Plus he knows it summer and that people go on vacation during the summer, so as long as you let him know it's not a big deal if you're gone. Lucky for me the wedding is after the class is over anyway, so I really don't have to worry about that anyway.

I've already gotten super burned on my back though. It totally sucks because I was wearing sunscreen every day. Apparently it fails. I am now using a different sunscreen. Plus I already have a watch tan going on from just four days. Lame. I guess I should stop wearing it while swimming.

i bought a Eureka comic book about a month ago and it has been hanging out in my purse, and today when I pulled it out I discovered that water had gotten on it so it's ruined. At least it's still readable, but that's totally lame.

Ooo One more thing about swimming. There are synchronized swimmers practicing at the same time, so we can hear their music underwater. It's so fun. This morning I was kicking in time to some of it, and the other day they played "Hey Soul Sister", 'California Gurls" and "Your Love is my Drug" while I was warming up. SO fun!

I need to write creative stuff again. I haven't in so long. On Monday I did write something though. http://axlaru.deviantart.com/#/d2rtgrw

I need to write longer stuff though, and maybe finish the NaNoWriMo fanfiction thing and post it online. It's a good thing I'm taking creative writing in the fall.

If you could only visit one Web site (other than LiveJournal) for the rest of your life, which would you choose, and why?
